Fashion

Educators often ask me where I get my dresses and shoes. I am extremely flattered and also love to share the details, so I put together a list below with details and discounts. Full disclosure, I do get a referral bonus for a couple of these websites, but I figure if you love the items as much as I do, then you would be buying them regardless. Hope you enjoy these products as much as I do. Trust me, the compliments make it all worthwhile.

eShakti Dresses and Clothing

New customers can use Eshakti referral link or QR code for $25 off first order.

If you know me IRL (In Real Life), then you know that I wear dresses every day. It’s a personal preference and I enjoy it for two main reasons. First of all, I love the way it looks. It’s classy, fashionable, comfortable, and gets lots of compliments. And secondly, it’s just easier. It’s easier to reach into your closet for one item of clothing, throw on flats or heels depending on the day, and then walk out the door. eShakti has allowed me to shop online not just for adorable dresses, but dresses that I can CUSTOMIZE. I can customize the neckline, sleeve type, and length, and most of the times see a preview of the finished product live.

Get a good friend to help you take all the body measurements you need for the ultimate customized fit. Trust me, it’s worth it and the cost isn’t much more for a guaranteed fit every time.

Oh, and best of all, all the dresses HAVE POCKETS!

Rothy’s Shoes

Get $20 off your first purchase at Rothy’s. Also know you can sign up for a Teacher’s 20% discount on selected styles for your later purchases.

The women’s shoes are typically $125-$145, and yes, that can be a little pricey, but you can throw them in the washer and they come out looking clean and like new. I’ve washed them several times and am always so happy that it feels like I have a new pair every time. Make sure though to use only cold water and let air dry, otherwise they will shrink.

You can extend the time between washing with wearing shoe liner/socks like Gekks. I am so happy I found these one day while browsing on Instagram. These little socks don’t show. You stick them in and they stay put, no more slipping around. You can remove, wash and reuse them. And best of all, Gekks are knit with high-tech silver anti-microbial yarn used by NASA to eliminate odor and they work, so now you don’t have stinky shoes even if you go “sockless.”

FYI, when I purchase Rothy’s Pointed Toe Flats, I order a half size larger. The fit is perfect with virtually no break in time. These really are the perfect teacher shoes for me.

Happy Shopping!
